Welcome to StrengthCraft,
My name is Jake Pierce, I invite you to join me on this journey of personal development & self mastery. I love breaking the rules and taking the unconventional approach to achieving my goals. I’m constantly exploring, whether I’m improving my fitness, developing a better mindset, reclaiming my health or expressing my creativity.
3 Years ago, I nearly lost my life to an Eating Disorder. Ever since, I’ve dedicated my life to recovery, health and personal fufillment. I’ve rebuilt my strength through bodyweight exercise, got certified as a Yoga & Meditation instructor, studied Visual Art & Design and even ran a Tough Mudder.
This blog will serve as an outlet to share everything I learn and experience: from freezing my ass off in ice baths, to the effects of daily meditation. Use this blog to take whatever information is useful to you and discard what is not. I am nothing more than a human being, who’s always learning and willing to share my experiences
What makes this blog different?
I’m huge advocate of the Kaizen Philosophy, or the continuous improvement of the self through small changes. Everything I experiment with or recommend will be based on it’s overall impact on my health & lifestyle.
There is so much misleading information out there that it’s easy to get overwhelmed. I’m going to go beyond the excessive lifestyle tips, boring workout programs, “healthy” nutrition advice or gimmicky performance strategies; I follow simple effective practices.
Perfection is achieved, not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away.
~Antoine de Saint-Exupéry
I would get so caught up consuming new information that I would forget the basics. I found for the best health & performance, it came down to coming back to the fundementals behind movement, mindset and good food. When I addressed these things with patience and commitment; real results began to happen.
I hope provide you with some life changing principles, exercises that are both effective & rewarding, aswell as the knowledge to nourish yourself.
Thanks for reading,
-Jake Pierce
