Hey folks,
Recently, I’ve been doing ALOT of Crowstands (aka Bakasana) in my training and in my classes. This static hold is an excellent way to develop your ability to press into, hold and maintain some of the more advanced handbalances like the Press Handstand or Planche. The exercises in this video specifically target the strength of shoulders, core and wrists. If you’re interested in learning more advanced moves like the Handstand, the Planche or Yoga poses like Maksikanagasana; this is an essential hold.
Personally, I’m using the Crowstand as a stepping stone to improve my handstand pushups and add variation to my yoga practice. This pose can be a ton of fun because it allows for so much of experimentation and personal variation.
I hope you find this video helpful in your journey to build your strongest practice.
Thanks for being Curious!
